Sometimes, it is better to keep your mouth shut. But there are some who would misunderstand your silence and judge you based on it. If you wish to interact with people, effective communication is key. Here are ways to help you communicate effectively and escape the burden of silence.
Make your intentions more transparent, and be more vocal about things. Being able to express does not mean you are being vulgar. You can speak up and still keep your composure. You do not have to be silent all the time and keep everything to yourself. There are some things that are better shared and talked about.
Speaking your mind and sharing your ideas also help boost your self-esteem and strengthen your bond with other people. Some often leave an awkward silence in the room for being shy or being unable to express their thoughts and feelings. Speaking to others regularly will help increase your knowledge about the different things around you; thus the difficulty of opening up your ideas to others lessens.
However, always remember to take a break. A moment of silence will help you reflect on your life. It will also allow you to observe your surroundings and the people around you. This will also help you meditate and think about the things that you love and what makes you happy.
Being silent is not a bad thing, but you must keep everything balanced to maintain good relationship with your colleagues, friends, and family. Speak up as long as it is necessary and appropriate, or else others may hesitate in communicating with you.
